De heerlijke dagen in Singapore vliegen weg , wat gaat het snel.

Woensdag aangekomen, en gelijk een heerlijk en betaalbaar restaurant gevonden waar wij ons allemaal te barsten konden eten aan lokale gerechten, ja langs de straat en ja ijs in het drinken, mag niet maar toch gedaan.

Donderdag, veel gelopen op zoek naar een shoppingmall en markt. niet gevonden dus met de taxi's naar de stad en voor we het wisten was de dag voorbij. weer lekker gegeten bij ons lokale eettentje . fantastisch.

Vrijdag, met een taxi's naar Sands , de grote hotels met een bootgebouw op het dak en zeer exclusieve winkels in een shopping mal er onder. de DNA brug bewandeld en in de avond de muziek en licht show bewonderd en het dak deck van de bekende boot bezocht voor een eindeloos mooi uitzicht.

Zaterdag, na klein India hebben we nu ook de Chinese wijk bezocht met tempels, winkels en mooi versierde straten. In de avond een boottocht met onze vrienden John en Lynn door de haven en langs de lichtshow. daarna nog wat drinken en nu laat terug in het hotel.

Zondagmiddag, naar het vliegveld voor een nieuw verhaal.

The days in Singapore flow past like in a dream.

Even dough there was heavy rain predicted for the whole period that we would be there , it has been dry and sunny with light overcast only last night , Saturday, we had a tropical shower which lasted about two hours.

Wednesday, after we arrived we found close by a nice small street food restaurant where we all fall in love with the lovely food.

Thursday, a day we were supposed to walk to a close by locale shopping centre and market located at only 10 till 15 minutes’ walk. But after a half a hour walk there was nothing but housing areas. we got into a cab which drove us to the town centre and told us we walked the wrong direction, so never believe a barman ate at night again while drinking you nightcap beer. At lest we got to see the big and very expensive shopping centre under the hotels with the boot on top , Sands, and the botanical gardens , a lovely and tranquil place to be.

Friday, in the daytime we visited the little India and a shopping mall were all the locales shop and found a lovely sushi restaurant where we treated ourselves to a lovely tasteful lunch. In the evening the light and fountain show followed by overlooking the city from the deck of the top boot at level 56.

Saturday, we invaded China town to be received a very warm welcome at a antiquarian shop followed by a visit to a temple which is open for tourist and outside you can choose any type of shoes you like. All the streets were decorated, lots of food and junk for sale, a band playing with a group of dancers, and streets with a past. Like a palm street which was called the dead street because in those houses people were banned just before they passed away. In the evening we met up with John & Lynn who stayed coincidental here after a cruise they made in the weeks before. Together we all did the evening cruise and looked at Singapore by night and yes we had a change to look at the lightshow from the water. After a couple of drinks together with the 6 of us, and a lot of fun, we got back to the hotel after 00.00 hours. Tomorrow brekky and packing to head to the airport for our next leg of the trip.
