Finally weekend in Australia!!!
After a very long week where we moved from Rainbow Beach to Bundaberg, yes the rum town, and then the drive to Rocky (Rockhampton), I have to say the life of a grey old nomad is pretty heavy to live.
Just think about those endless Beaches in the shining sun where you hardly see another soul, to a town who is situated in the middle of the sugarcane area and you breathe the whole day sugar, raisins and rum with long days of sunshine far in the twenty degrees and cool nights at about 10 c. After that a drive , 300 km, up north too end up with balmy 25 till 26 degrees clear nights with a glass of rum in your hands from the previous town after an lovely meal of nashi.
After all of this you have to be exhausted hey.
Tell a long story short, the four of us “Jos, Laz, Els and Ben “have arrived in the middle of Queensland in the winter period.
We are enjoying the warmth the layback atmosphere, the almost empty roads the super long weekend (Queens day) before we move on inland to show our skills at …… ? You will read that next week!!!
