Sunday evening the 18th of October in Perth.
To finish of our trip in the surroundings from Perth we went to the Astor Theater in Perth city to go to the show of Nearly Neal (Diamond) from Bobby Bruce’.
As soon as we knew we went to do the Gibb River Road and we ended up in Perth we booked these tickets as well. For us, it was the only chance we had to see our friend on his tour Down Under.
We got two seats in the middle of the second row, which my mam would call “pain in the neck seats”. During the first part of the show you could see Bobby was looking at us but there was no sign of recognition.
After the break between the songs he said all of a sudden “I got word that there are two friends here from Holland, guys you traveled a lot to get to this show, where are you”? We waved, and he dedicated his next song to us.
In the meantime, Els got a text, if we could meet up with them after the show.
From the entrance of the theater, after Bobby said goodbye to other guests, he took us backstage where we talked for a while and we got an invitation for his show in Sydney for the 3th of November. This will be difficult because I think we will be on the road traveling then.
We had a lovely time.
