Travel 12017-2018

Hi / G’day everyone,

Yes we are back on the road again one’s more.

On Tuesday the 14th we left Amsterdam after saying goodbye to our kids and my sister what leaves you with a mixed feeling on the plane.Our first leg to Manchester went easy and smooth. There we boarded the big bird to Dubai with Emirates. This flight was easy and smooth as well and the catering suburb. We stayed awake and talked, played games and watched movies. After seven hours we had a short stopover and hopped on the same plane towards Melbourne.Here we arrived early on Thursday morning, in the rain. After a quick passing through the custom check we got our boarding passes for Mildura to leave at 10.00 .

Waiting in the lounge making it us easy for a while we noticed that a lot of people did not leave so we went to check out the flight schedules. Our flight was without notice delayed till late in the afternoon and no one was sure if it would leave at all that day, and it was the only flight that day as well. Luckily it did go and by night-time we arrived at our friends Lyn & John for dinner. At 22.00 we turned in to wake up at 06.00 and fall asleep again to wake up at 11.00.

Els and Lyn went into town do some shopping while John and me set out to pay the car and put it on my name. This part went easy but we could not get the insurance done so the plan was to do that on Saturday. Els and I went to bed at 22.00 hours and woke up at 03.00 and we could not sleep any more till 06.00 to wake up at 9.00.

The ladys back to the city and we set out to get the insurance at RACV, but they were closed. So in the afternoon I got a covering done by internet at Woolworths. So Els and I got in the car to give Mildura a scare, and fill her up.

Sunday, a lazy day with a nice lunch at the Murray River which filled us up until far in the evening.

Monday we will hitting the road again towards Canberra and Milton, but more about that next time.
