Weather. English

Change of weather,

After days of high temps and lovely warm balmy days in the Snowy’s the weather all of a sudden turned into colder and rainy days with at night a nice 20 degree’s which is good for a solid sleep. But I found it cold so we had to put a sheet on the bed and a pj top for the night.

Saturday we did a long trip, 500km.  We went from Talbingo via The Great Dividing Range into the Snowy’s and out just before Cooma to turn right and enter them through Jindabyne to head for Thredbo were we did a  long walk along the river in the bush and after  long cool drink drove back through the mountains and farmland to the campsite for some tucker.

Sunday morning the first soft rain start falling down and after brekkie, ( lovely omelette made by chef Carl), we all had a shower before we could head of for the mountains again to visit the big dam or the hydro works with the big reservoirs for the water and power. Just before leaving Els wanted to bring away some garbage and sealed our destiny for the coming days, she tripped over a bump near the collection point and hurt her leg badly. Marja and I supplied first aid and we decided that she needed a hospital visit. We got there at 13.00 hrs and she left the place with bandage on but in general in good health, nothing broken only her ego. In to the car for our much needed (ice)coffee but almost everything was closed so we ended up at Maccas. It was very busy so from the four orders they got only one right, the coffee from Marja and Carl we could save with ice cubes and make it an ice coffee but mine was bugger all, it just belong to this day I think. So we left Els in the car and did some shopping at Woolworths before heading to Talbingo, on the way up we did see a lot of animals and especially those big jumping rabbits.

Today, Monday, the 3 of us went into town to refill the first aid box again, have our much needed ice coffee with banana bread to go with it. On the way back we drove to all the big dams and hydro works. Even dough Marja das not really enjoy the small winding road who go steep up and down, she held her own and loved the views she got presented in the end, the same for the tremendous nature.

The only thing wat has not happened yet is that Carl or Marja are taking over the steering wheel, something I can understand if you look where we been driving and it unexpected road jumping of those big rabbits like this afternoon happened again.

At 17.00hrs we got back to van and Els had done the complete laundry by herself and put the piles on our beds, very nice but should she with her leg???

When I check up on the fridge, it was turned off, out of gas. So got the bottle refilled and all is well.

In the mean time we put our heads together how and wat for the coming days, depending on that lovely leg of my partner we decide tomorrow.

So dear followers, new story’s in the make, see later.

Nice story. When there are no mountainroads or pulling the van, we will have a tray te drive.
